Bank of Scotland

Bank of Scotland (BOS) has committed to support businesses through its Charter for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs). That means provision of regular loan and overdraft facilities and asset based finance for customers but also where appropriate, use of the European Investment Bank and the Enterprise Finance Guarantee schemes. BOS is working together with the European Investment Bank to offer preferential loan rates to eligible SMEs. This could help reduce borrowing costs and allow their customers to save money during the entire term of the loan. Typical projects that EIB funding may be granted for include:

  • Research & Development expenditure

  • Purchase, renovation or extension of tangible assets

  • Building up of distribution networks in any part of the UK

Under this scheme, the minimum term loan is 2 years and the minimum loan amount is £25,500.
