Management Buy In

August 2010
A management buy-in is when a new investor additionally takes a day-to-day or an operational management position within the company.

In small or medium sized companies, this is commonly done as the angel investor joins the senior management team as CEO, COO, CFO etc. In larger acquisitions or take-overs, the new investors may choose to appoint a completely new management team.
