How do I approach retailers to stock and sell my educational dvd?

I have produced, under licence and crown copyright, an educational DVD in British Sign Language for the Deaf.  A direct translation of information needed to pass the Driving Theory Test in the UK.  This DVD is the first of its kind in the UK.  It is signed by Deaf for Deaf.

  1. Robert,

You have a wonderful product if it is what you say it is. Firstly I would need to establish do you aim to sell it to retailers directly for payment upfront or, do you want to leave it on a 'Sale & Return' baisis?

I look forward to hearing from you.

  2. Hi Qamar, thanks for reply. I aim to sell directly to retailers for payment upfront.

  3. Hi Robert,

In order to give you the best possible answer in my experience I will need to ask a few more questions if you would be so good as to return the answers; it follows:

1] What is the cost price for producing each item?

2] What is your selling price?

Once you answer these, I will be in a better position to advise you further.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards

    Qamar
