   I'd recommend contacting the likes of your local enterprise agency (http://www.nfea.com/), Business Link (or national equivalent) and economic development department at your local authority. It's worth bearing in mind that grants will often have to be match-funded, and are usually for small amounts of money, especially compared to the start up costs for a play centre. which may run into a six figure sum.
