How & from where we get tax id number and wats the cost.

I registered a new company for importing and selling clothes,jewellery and fashion accessories.
please guide me what other paper formalities, registerations did i require to start up my business.
Did i need tax id number, from where can i get and how much it costs.
Please give me full information for my new business.

  1. Hi, You have to register for VAT if turnover looks like it is going to exceed £68,000 in any 12 month rolling period. It is not compulsory to register for VAT if turnover is below this threshold. Info about VAT can be found on http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/start/register/
