Affiliate Website aiming at the USA market. Do I register business in the USA or UK.

Hi, I'm creating an Affiliate Website aiming at the USA market. Do I need to register a business in the USA (As I'm being encouraged to), or can I run it from a UK business. Do I need to pay tax to the US Government on any profits & as I live in the UK will I also need to pay UK tax as well.

This is the first time I've done any thing like this so I would much appriciate any advice or recommendations for further info.

  1. Hi Joe,

    My understanding is that you would register as self-employed in the UK, as this is where you are physically based. However, I'd clarify the situation with the HMRC: www.hmrc.gov.uk
