How do I go about finding fabric suppliers?

I am looking for unusual, good quality and affordable fabric suppliers but have no idea how to go about this... any help much appreciated. I am not going to be placing huge orders, pretty small orders initially with the scope to grow if successful!

    I might be able to give you some contacts of some very good quality suppliers in india.
    If you explain a liitle more about what kind of fabrics you need for what applications then i can find that out for you.
