How do I go about finding an open indoor space to rent once a week so I can take a sports class?
I am thinking about setting up 'Poi' dancing classes as a way to fund myself through uni. I have money to get the equipment and am certain it will be of interest to the likes of students. The only problem is finding a space big enough to accomodate this activity. Any tips on where to look / who to ask and how much it may cost?

Hi Elinor,
You could try community centres, local colleges/schools (or even the university) which may all have rooms to rent. I'm located in the North East and people can rent rooms to give dance classes at the likes of Dance City in Newcastle. As for cost, I've heard of large rooms being available for as little as £12 per hour, which is great value. -
Another possibility is church halls and also your local council may have rooms - a bit different, but I go to a poetry class in the local Council House and the room is provided free! Some Scout huts, where they still exist, have times when the property is standing empty, so might welcome some rent money.
