Attracting investments to overseas commercial property
Hi all, we've started to run our business about 1 year ago. It is related with attracting investments for the development of Russian, Ukrainian and Baltic commercial properties and some industrial projects. We have a number of partners in the UK from the past but would like to expand our contacts in order to attract new investors. We've tried a number of traditional marketing solutions such as: cold calling, mailings, website promotion and the result is very close to zero. What is the best way to attract new funds to such sort of projects? Thank you in advance.

The problem with property is that you need to have your own database of potential clients as there isn't any listing (that I know of) of people who buy commercial and residential properties to let.
We are constantly scouring the web (property forums, social networking sites etc) for people who are clearly interested in renting student accommodation. By contacting those with an obvious interest, with a sales pitch that ticks all the right boxes, we have seen great results.
Our best source of business has always been word of mouth, however.
